JANUARY CE LUNCHES
Sound Attenuation Program Number: SOUND0325 1 AIA LU/HSW Description: This course will review the sources of external sounds and the ways they may enter a building. With a focus on commercial applications, attendees will learn of construction methods and materials designed to lessen the impact of noise on the building’s occupants. A specific focus will be on the physical and emotional impact of harmful sounds. We will look at required testing processes along with government standards designed to regulate sound levels. Attendees will better understand glazing performance relating to sound mitigation and options available to increase sound ratings in order to create efficient structures that benefit the occupant’s health and well-being. CEU Lunch Meetings are a benefit of membership in AIA Florida Northwest Any non-member attending will be charged $20 for cost of lunch.
