AIA Florida Northwest has hosted a hugely popular gingerbread house competition in local elementary schools for the past few years. The turnout has averaged more than 300 entries per year with hundreds of kids and their families attending each school's competition night.
Every year the excitement and participation grows and the community becomes even more involved in this art and education-based holiday event.
We really need your help to keep this event going and growing. This is your chance to get involved in this amazing event. Volunteer just a small amount of time and DO SOMETHING AWESOME with it.
So, what are we asking for? Not much.
- Jury at least one gingerbread night between December 2 and December 9 (exact dates pending, based on school participation).
And that's it! How easy is that? This opportunity not only allows you to get some face-time with the school and local community leaders but also allows you to share your love of architecture with students and families in their formative years.
