Come spend Friday and Saturday at beautiful Alys Beach and hear Michael G. Imber discuss his new book Ranches, Villas, and Houses. On Friday, attend a reception and book signing by the Caliza Pool, and on Saturday morning, enjoy a private guided tour of Gulfside House and attend a reception with Michael following the tour.

Michael will discuss his new book and the influences of local culture and the landscape in the shaping of his work and practice. Michael explores the relationship of the architect with the landscape through sketching and painting, and the importance of recognizing unique local environments, cultures, and building traditions in the creation of a meaningful and sustainable architecture. Follow Michael down the dusty roads of Texas and the Southwest to view works from the book, as well others built in unique and challenging locations, including three recent Palladio Award winning projects.
