Ed McMahon is a Senior Fellow with the Urban Land Institute and is a nationally renowned authority on sustainable development, land conservation and urban design. He was formerly the vice-president and director of land use programs at The Conservation Fund.

McMahon believes that the most successful American communities are those ready for the future while retaining a sense of the past. McMahon advises communities nationwide about the importance of protecting their unique character as an economic development tool.

CivicCon is bringing McMahon to Pensacola to help communities learn was to protect and enhance their unique character.
