Sustainable Cities 2017

The Gulf Coast Energy Network has teamed up with the city of Pensacola, the U.S. Green Building Council and other local organizations to host the first Sustainable Cities Summit in Pensacola Thursday September 28, 2017 at New World Landing. (600 S. Palafox Street Pensacola, FL 32502)

Architects, planners, policymakers, energy professionals, developers, facility managers and green-building advocates will gather for a day-long workshop filled with presentations from subject matter experts from across many sectors.

Sessions are set to being at 8:45 am and last until 4:45 pm and will include topics such as urban master planning, green roofs, community solar energy projects, electric vehicles and sustainable waste management. Peter Torrellas with Siemens will also give a forward-looking presentation on technology's role in a smart, sustainable city.
